It is unlikely but possible for all three characters to be exaggerating, incorrect, or merely rounding-up, and it is, in fact, 1991 AD.)
Although it is a chronologically early film in the original "Planet of the Apes" pentalogy, it can be watched fourth after the third film, "Escape from the Planet of the Apes" (1971).
