When Does "The Predator" (2018) Take Place?
"The Predator" is a horror science fiction film written by Shane Black with Fred Dekker that released September 14th, 2018.
It takes place on the fictional Alien vs. Predator timeline roughly in the years:
We know this because while it is technically unplaceable it must take place after the film "Alien vs. Predator" (2004) (which takes place in 2004 AD) because of the presence of the spear made during that film and we know it takes place before the film "Predators" (2010) (which takes place in 2024 AD) so it can only be narrowed down to between 2004 AD and 2024 AD.

Halloween occurs during the story so we know it is October at some point over a 20-year span.
It is a midway chronological film in the Alien vs. Predator timeline (the chronological sixth film to feature a Yautja predator) and can be watched either at its timeline point or entirely separately.
It was adapted to prose in late 2018.
