When Does "For All Mankind" Season One (2019) Take Place?

"For All Mankind" season one is a science fiction television show showrun by Ronald D. Moore with Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi that released November 1st, 2019. So when is "For All Mankind" season one set?

It takes place in the years:

1969 AD - 1974 AD

We know this because season 1 episode 1 "Red Moon" features a front page of the "HOUSTON SENTINEL" newspaper dated for "FRIDAY, JUNE 27, 1969" with a headline referring to the events of the episode in two different scenes. There's also an issue of "Newsweek" magazine dated for "JULY 29, 1969" with cover artwork commemorating the same event in another scene. Furthermore, the same episode opens with a time and place setting title card reading "PARRAS DE LA FUENTE, MEXICO 26 June 1969" right after a long montage of found footage. So it is June of 1969 AD at the beginning of the story.

Season 1 episode 2 "He Built the Saturn V" includes a title card letting us know it's "TWO MONTHS LATER 5 September 1969" so presumably we're in September of 1969 AD.

The rest of the season carries the viewer up to 1974 AD.

Additionally, season 1 episode 2 "He Built the Saturn V" opens with more found footage, this time with a title card over it reading: "Wernher von Braun 1955". effectively turning it into a 1955 AD flashback prologue.

Also, season 1 episode 3 "Nixon's Women" opens with an extended flashback prologue to 1961 AD. There's a clear time and place setting title card that reads "GILLESPIE, CALIFORNIA 1961".

Finally, season 1 episode 10 "A City Upon a Hill" ends with a short epilogue set in 1983 AD teasing the next season.
