When Does "War Is Hell" #9 (1974) Take Place?

"War Is Hell" #9 "War is hell!" is a supernatural historical fiction comic-book written by Tony Isabella with Chris Claremont, Steve Gerber, and Roy Thomas that released July 23rd, 1974. So when is "War Is Hell" #9 set? 

It takes place on the fictional Marvel Universe timeline in the year: 

1939 AD 

We know this because it depicts the first day of the invasion of Poland by Nazi Germany, which happened in the real world on September 1st, 1939 AD. Indeed, John Kowalski says, "Hallowe'en ain't for... another... month!".

Additionally, the story includes a 1937 AD flashback that clearly opens with a United States of America Marine official announcing "15 March 1937. United States Marine Corps. Court of Military Justice... now in session..."
