When Does "Truth: Red, White & Black" #1 (2002) Take Place?

"Truth: Red, White & Black" #1 "The Future" is a superhero comic-book written by Robert Morales and released November 20th, 2002.

It takes place on the fictional Marvel Universe timeline in the years:

1940 AD - 1942 AD

We know this because the book begins with three character introduction sequences:

-One, introducing Isaiah Bradley is labeled by a textbox that reads, "Queens, New York. July 1940."

-Then Maurice Canfield is introduced in a segment starting with a textbox that includes, "Philadelphia. December, 1940".

-Finally, with "Cleveland. June, 1941.", a textbox Sergeant Luke Evans joins the narrative.

Then, near the end of the issue, the famous and tragic attack by Japan on Hawaii's Pearl Harbor base occurs and is clearly labeled with a textbox of its own reading: "Pearl Harbor. December, 1941." The Pearl Harbor attack did indeed occur on December 7th, 1941 AD in the real world.

The next scene is immediate as it has a texbox saying, "Cleveland. December, 1941." and it is followed by one with "Philadelphia. January, 1942." at its start and then the comic ends on a page with "New York City. February, 1942." in a textbox at the upper lefthand corner. Each of these three last pages show one of the three characters' reactions to the historical event.

This comic-book was retroactively collected into a hardcover and paperback re-titled "Captain America: Truth: Red, White & Black"

It is a chronologically midway comic in the Marvel Comics Universe multiverse timeline. It can be read anytime after “Captain America Comics" #1 (1940).
