When Does "X-O Manowar" #2 (1991) Take Place?
"X-O Manowar" #2 v1 "Retribution" Part 2 "Kingdom Come!" is a superhero comic-book written by Jim Shooter with Steve Englehart and released December 1991.
We know this because, although, like the previous issue, there are no time references, the last scene of the prequel issue, "X-O Manowar" #0 v1 (1993) includes a place and time setting textbox midway that reads, "in Earth orbit, November 3, 1991" and that issue seems to take place in a matter of weeks. The events of this issue appear to cover just a few days from that point and the next issue, #3 v1 (1992), includes a claim that the time since events shown in the previous one, #1 v1 (1991), is "the past three weeks!" This makes it mid to late December of 1991.
It takes place on the fictional Valiant Universe timeline in the year:
1991 AD

It has been collected into a volume 1 hardcover subtitled "Birth" and a volume 1 paperback subtitled "Retribution".
It is an early chronological comic-book in the Valiant Universe (a chronologically third comic to feature X-O Manowar) and can be read at its timeline point.
