When Does "Revolution on the Planet of the Apes" (2005) Take Place?
"Revolution on the Planet of the Apes" is a science fiction comic-book written by Joseph O'Brien with Ty Templeton that released December 28th, 2005. So when is "Revolution on the Planet of the Apes" set?
We know this because issue #1 "The End of the World" opens the very next morning after the events of the film "Conquest of the Planet of the Apes" (1972), which takes place in 1993 AD (or 1991 AD according to a probably erroneous title card). Unless that film's conclusion takes place on the last day of December in 1993 AD, this comic takes place in the same calendar year.
We know this because .

The first pages supply a timeline that includes "TWENTY YEARS AGO" then "The Icarus mysteriously re-enters the Earth's atmosphere"... describing events depicted at the start of the film "Escape from the Planet of the Apes" (1971), which take place in 1973 AD.
1973 + 20 = 1993.
It also reads, "YESTERDAY:" then describes events from the end of the film "Conquest of the Planet of the Apes" (1972), which (again) take place in 1993 AD (or, less likely, 1991 AD) reinforcing this.
1993 + 1 one day = still 1993.
It is the chronologically earliest comic in the Planet of the Apes universe and can be read either at its timeline point or after the film "Battle for the Planet of the Apes" (1973) as an extended flashback.

Additionally, each issue of the mini-series includes a back-up story:
--The first issue's back-up feature is "For Human Rights" (2005) by Ty Templeton.
It takes place on the Planet of the Apes universe timeline in the year:
1990 AD
We know this because it begins with this time setting free-floating text: "Three years ago, Chris Leung attends a rally near his home..." and although it's not stated, it's implicit this means 3 years before the setting of the main feature. It is most likely 1990 AD (or, potentially, 1988 AD).
1993 - 3 = 1990
or
1991 - 3 = 1988.

It takes place on the Planet of the Apes universe timeline in the year:
--The third back-up story is "Little Caesar" (2006) by Ty Templeton.
1993 AD & 3977 AD
We know this because it's first half connects directly with (and probably happens just before) the plot of the main feature, which takes place in 1993 AD. The second half jumps forward to the period just before the first film, "Planet of the Apes" (1968), which takes place in 3978 AD. Cornelius, Zira, and Dr. Zaius . More specifically, during that movie Cornelius says, "We're going back to the diggings I worked at over a year ago." So it must be more than 1 year but less than 2 years before that story.
3978 - 1 = 3977.

--The next one, in issue #4- "Paternal Instinct" (2006) by Ty Templeton with Sam Agro.
1900s AD
We know this because it includes a teenaged Caeser so it must occur sometime after the events of the film "Escape from the Planet of the Apes" (1971), which takes place in 1973 AD, but Armando also appears, so it must happen before the film "Conquest of the Planet of the Apes" (1972), which takes place in 1991 AD or 1993 AD. This short therefore is unplaceable other than dropping in between 1973 AD and 1993 AD.

--The penultimate back-up, in issue #5- "Ape Shall Not Kill Ape" (2006) by Ty Templeton .
1993 AD
We know this because it depicts all new characters but almost certainly takes place during the main story of the book. As a result, this must take place in 1993 AD (or 1991 AD), as well.
