When Does "Star Trek: Enterprise" Season Three (2003) Take Place?

"Star Trek: Enterprise" season three is a science fiction television series showran by Brannon Braga that released September 10th, 2003. So when is "Enterprise" season 3 set?

It takes place on the fictional Star Trek timeline in the year:

2153 AD - 2154 AD

We know this because in season 2 episode 26 "The Expanse" (2003) Captain Jonathan Archer records himself saying, "Captain's Starlog, April 24th, 2153. The journey home has been very difficult." and season 3 episode 1 "The Xindi" takes place immediately afterward. So it seems to be April of 2153 AD at the season's beginning.

Later, midway through season 3 episode 23 "Countdown" (2004) Captain Jonathan Archer records himself saying "Captain's starlog, February 13th, 2154. We're preparing to enter a Xindi vortex"... So it's probably February of 2154 AD at the end of the season.

(HOWEVER, in season 3 episode 24 "Zero Hour" (2004), the season finale, Commander T'Pol makes a record in place of Archer, saying, "Acting Captain's starlog, February 14th, 2152. We're holding position at the coordinates where"... and this would place the latter half of the season in 2152 AD. Presumably, this is a production mistake.)

Although the famous "stardate XXXX.X" captain's records that open most episodes and some films were mistaken for years on the Gregorian calendar, there is no one-to-one relationship between them. As identified in the biography "Gene Roddenberry: The Myth and the Man Behind Star Trek": "They marked off sections on a pictorial depiction of the known universe and extrapolated how much earth time would elapse when traveling between given points, taking into account that the Enterprise's warp engines would be violating Einstein's theory that nothing could exceed the speed of light. They concluded that the 'time continuum' would therefore vary from place to place, and that earth time may actually be lost in travel. 'So the stardate on Earth would be one thing, but the stardate on Alpha Centauri would be different,' Peeples says." so they are relative to long distance travel and not an absolute calendar. HOWEVER, actual years on the Gregorian calendar began to be used later.

Additionally, season 3 episode 11 "Carpenter Street" includes time travel to 2004 AD and the year is made fairly clear when Captain Archer is preparing to disembark and says to T'Pol, "Find something to wear that won't stand out in 2004."

It is the earliest chronological TV show in the Star Trek universe and can be watched at its timeline point or as an extended flashback after "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (1987).

Season 3 episode 1 "The Xindi" was adapted to prose in late 2003.
