Then, during season 3 episode 10 "Stranger in a Strange Land" an issue of the "Houston Sentinel" newspaper AND an issue of the "Chicago Herald Record" BOTH clearly seen with front pages dated for "Monday, September 4, 1995" and headlines referring to a revelation of the previous episode. So it's definitely September of 1995 AD at the end.
Additionally, season 3 episode 10 "Stranger in a Strange Land", the season finale, ends with a short epilogue that contains the title card: "2003". This certainly takes place in 2003 AD and teases the next season.
