When Does "Rossum's Universal Robots" (1921) Take Place?

"R.U.R. A Fantastic Melodrama in Three Acts and an Epilogue" (released to English-speaking audiences as "R.U.R.: Rossum's Universal Robots") is a science fiction stageplay written by Karel Čapek first performed January 2nd, 1921. So when is "Rossum's Universal Robots" set?

It takes place roughly in the year:

~1970s AD

We know this because in act 2 (which we will see is sometime in the 1970s AD) Harry Domin declares, "It’s ten years ago today since you came here.", referring to his first meeting with Helena Glory in act 1. So act 1 takes place in 1962 AD at the earliest.

1972 - 10 = 1962.

Then, during act 2 Doctor Gall says, "Man is really a survival, but that he should die out, after a paltry thirty years of competition" so it has been 30 years since Doctor Rossum's robots became available for purchase. In act 1 Domin tells us, Dr. Rossum "attempted by chemical synthesis to imitate the living matter known as protoplasm until he suddenly discovered a substance which behaved exactly like living matter although its chemical composition was different. That was in the year 1932" and "I’ll show you in the museum the bungling attempt it took him ten years to produce. It was to have been a man, but it lived for three days only. Then up came young Rossum, an engineer." So while it's unclear how long it took the original Rossum's nephew from his uncle's failures in 1942 AD to a sellable product, act 2 must take place in 1972 AD at the earliest.

1932 + 10 = 1942
and
1942 + 30 = 1972.

(HOWEVER, the year on the poster for the first performance [although just promotional (epitext)], reads "2000" for 2000 AD. Though this doesn't seem to be confirmable by context.)

Additionally, there is an epilogue in which a Robot says, "This we have accomplished in one year.", referring to . So it must be 1973 AD at the earliest during the epilogue.

1972 + 1 + 1973.
