When Does "Alien: Earth" (2025) Take Place?

"Alien: Earth" is a science fiction horror television series showrun by Noah Hawley that premiered August 12th, 2025. So when is "Earth" set?

It takes place on the fictional Alien vs. Predator timeline in the year:

2120 AD

We know this because in season 1 episode 2 "Mr. October" shows us that a wealthy collector has a baseball signed by the real-world baseball player Reggie Jackson that he threw as part of a World Series game. It is clearly labeled "REGGIE  JACKSON  1977  WORLD SERIES, GAME 6  HOME RUN NUMBER 3" and this happened on October 18th, 1977 AD in the real world. Medic Joseph Hermit repeats this information out loud. So it must be after October of 1977 AD.

Furthermore, in the very beginning of season 1 episode 1 "Neverland" there is a very early set of time and place setting green title cards including one reading: "YEAR: 2120". This doesn't seem to be confirmable by context but it is most likely 2120 AD.

More specifically, almost three-quarters through season 1 episode 1 "Neverland" a damaged computer screen on-board the Weyland-Yutani ship Maginot displays the words: "ACTUAL TIME: 3 JUN  FLIGHT TIME: 5 NOV". So it is probably June of 2120 AD.

("ACTUAL TIME" is distinguished by the on-board computer from "FLIGHT TIME" which is different because time is relative based on speed, due to gravity, as described by Einstein in the Theory of Relativity.)

Season 1 episode 2 "Mr. October" includes a flashback labeled with a green title card that reads, "ONE DAY EARLIER". So it is certainly still June of 2120 AD. Probably June 2nd, 2120 AD.

It is the earliest chronological TV series in the Alien vs. Predator timeline (the chronologically first TV series to feature a Xenomorph alien) and can be watched either at its timeline point or entirely separately.
