When Does "The Family Stone" (2005) Take Place?

"The Family Stone" is a comedy romance film written by Thomas Bezucha that released December 14th, 2005. So when is "The Family Stone" set?

It takes place roughly in the year:

mid 2000s AD

We know this because Thaddeus? "Thad" Stone and Patrick Thomas drive a 2003 Land-Rover Range Rover. The 2003 model was first available for sale in North America in early 2002 AD. So it must be during or after 2002 AD.

Furthermore, while most characters use a cellar phone, not a single character uses a candy-bar style cellphones like an iPhone smartphone. The iPhone smartphone first became available for purchase on June 29th, 2007 AD so it is most likely before mid-2007 AD.

More specifically, the plot of the main action begins a few days before the Christmas holiday and ends on Christmas Day so the large majority of the movie takes place in December of YEAR AD.

Additionally, the story ends with an epilogue that also takes place at Christmas but Susannah Stone Trousdale was pregnant during the main action but is not during the epilogue. It must be December of YEAR AD.

YEAR + 1 = YEAR.
