When Does the Fourth Audio-Drama "The Time Machine" (2009) Take Place?

"The Time Machine" is a science fiction audio-drama written by Philip Osment [adapting "The Time Machine" (1895) by H.G. Wells] that released February 22nd, 2009. So when is "The Time Machine" set?

It takes place in the year:

802701 AD

We know this because as the unnamed Time Traveler take his great leap forward in time he narrates, "Faster now. Hands on the dials a blur: 50,000 years. 60,000 years." even after this he says, "Dials going round faster and faster."

1,88? + 60,000 = YEAR.

More specifically, the Time Traveler tells his friends, "If the dials on my machine were to be believed, I had fetched up in the year 802701."

The Time Traveler also says, during the inner frame story, "I assure you I was in my laboratory at 4 this afternoon and since then I've lived 8 days." So we know the main action occurs over 8 days.

Additionally, there is an inner frame story featuring the Time Traveler. H.G. Wells himself is a character and says, "Perhaps that young fella that I was back in the 80s really did know a time traveler?" and then, "It was during my student days at the Normal School of Science in Kensington." H.G. Wells studied at the real-world Normal School of Science until 1887 AD. The Normal School was called the Metropolitan School of Science applied to Mining and the Arts until 1881 AD (it changed its name to the Royal College of Science in 1890 AD). So it must be sometime between 1881 AD and 1887 AD.

Also, there is an outer frame story in which H.G. Wells tells the tale to a journalist named Martha. Wells says, "It's over 50 years ago but I can still see his white sincere face in the bright circle of the little lamp." when describing the Time Traveler. So it must be sometime between 1932 AD and 1946 AD.

1,881 + 51 = 1,932
or
1,887 + 59 = 1,946.

More specifically, Wells remarks, "This war is driving me to despair." and, later, "It's a clear night. That's not good. Bomber's Moon...", and finally, near the end, "Let's hope the Luftwaffe will leave us in peace tonight." Of course, the real-world global military conflict World War II was the only war that reached England in this period and the only moment the English mainland was being directly bombed by the Nazi German air-force (Luftwaffe) or was during the Battle of Britain (Luftschlacht um England to the Germans) from July 10th, 1940 AD to October 31st, 1940 AD and the following period known as The Blitz, which lasted from September 7th, 1940 AD to May 11th, 1941 AD.

Specifically, Martha says, "It's the middle of winter, H.G.!" So it is certainly sometime in the only winter during which England was being bombed: late 1940 AD or early 1941 AD

Then, the Time Traveler sends a message back and this section is not dated in any way and is therefore unplaceable. However, it parallels a portion of the original partwork novel in which .

Finally, the Time Traveler's message has a second part that begins with the direct narration: "I've traveled 30 million years into future." That puts this final epilogue at 3000188x? AD

1,88? + 30,000,000 = 30,001,88x?.
