When Does "The Copenhagen Test" (2025) Take Place?
"The Copenhagen Test" is a science fiction espionage television series showrun by Thomas Brandon with Jennifer Yale that released December 27th, 2025. So when is "The Copenhagen Test" set?
It takes place roughly in the year:
We know this because in episode two "Glass House" the character who heads up the Orphanage, Patricia/Saint George says, "45 years without a crack. It's nice not to be dreading it anymore." Episode one "Copenhagen" includes two title cards at the end of the prologue establishing: "President George H.W. Bush believed the U.S. Intelligence Community needed a watcher. So, The Orphanage was created." and then "The Orphanage has never been compromised." The real-world politician George Herbert Walker Bush served as president of the United States of America from January 20th, 1989 AD to January 20th, 1993 AD and, presumably, the Orphanage was founded during this time. This makes it some time during or after 2034 AD and before or during 2039 AD.

~2030s AD

1,989 + 45 = 2,034
to
1,993 + 45 = 2,039.
More specifically, episode three "False Flag" depicts a parade which Preston Hale refers to as ..."a Veterans Day parade" in episode one "Copenhagen". The real-world Veterans Day holiday is always celebrated on November 11th in the United States of America so it is November at this time and certainly autumn of whichever year it is at the start of the show.
Additionally, episode one "Copenhagen" begins with a prologue that depicts a mission Alexander Hale undertakes in Belarus and, during episode two "Glass House", Alexander specifically states, "3 years ago there was an op in Belarus that went wrong"... Furthermore, it ends with a massive white title card superimposed over the footage that reads: "THREE YEARS LATER". So the prologue and the many, many quick flashbacks to its setting take place at some point between 2031 AD and 2036 AD.
2,034 - 3 = 2,031
to
2,039 - 3 = 2,036.
Finally, episode four "Obsidian" starts with a short prologue and the third shot of it includes another huge title card saying "FIVE YEARS AGO". So this must be somewhere along 2029 AD to 2034 AD.
2,034 - 5 = 2,029
to
2,039 - 5 = 2,034.
