When Does "LBJ" (2017) Take Place?
"LBJ" is a historical fiction film written by Joey Hartstone that released November 3rd, 2017. So when is "LBJ" set?
It takes place in the years:
We know this because the main action begins with a relative subtitle that reads "FOUR YEARS EARLIER OFFICE OF THE MAJORITY LEADER" as the 1963 prologue ends. There's another subtitle soon that specifically says, "JOHNSON RANCH, TEXAS - 1959".

1959 AD - 1963 AD
We know this because the main action begins with a relative subtitle that reads "FOUR YEARS EARLIER OFFICE OF THE MAJORITY LEADER" as the 1963 prologue ends. There's another subtitle soon that specifically says, "JOHNSON RANCH, TEXAS - 1959".
1,963 - 4 = 1,959.
Later, yet another subtitle tells us it is now "APRIL 1960" so, presumably we have moved to April of 1960 AD.
Then, yet another subtitle declares we are in the "BILTMORE HOTEL - JULY 11, 1960" so it seems to be July of 1960 AD.
Eventually, the narrative's main action ends with the real-world United States of American President Lyndon B. Johnson delivering a speech known as the "Let Us Continue" speech, which was made on November 27th, 1963 AD in the real world. So it is certainly November of 1963 AD at the end.
Additionally, the story is intercut with a different setting and its the second shot of the film is of a newspaper front-page dated for "FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 1963". Furthermore, the very first shot of the movie includes a time and place setting title card reading: "DALLAS LOVE FIELD - NOVEMBER 22nd, 1963" and a later one reads, "DEALEY PLAZA - NOVEMBER 22nd, 1963". So it is certainly also November of 1963 AD during these flash-forwards.
