When Does the TV Show "Spider-Noir" (2026) Take Place?
"Spider-Noir" is a historical fiction superhero television series showrun by Oren Uziel with Steve Lightfoot [adapting "Spider-Man Noir: Eyes Without a Face" #1-4? (2009-2010) by David Hine with Fabrice Sapolsky] that released May 25th, 2026. So when is "Spider-Noir" set?
It takes place on an alternate timeline of the fictional Marvel Cinematic Universe in the year:
We know this because Ben Reilly/The Spider reads a brand new issue of the "NEW YORK HERALD" dated for "WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 11, 1933". So it is certainly October of 1933 AD.

1933 AD
We know this because Ben Reilly/The Spider reads a brand new issue of the "NEW YORK HERALD" dated for "WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 11, 1933". So it is certainly October of 1933 AD.
Additionally, there's a prologue at the start of episode one "Step Into My Office" and the opening scene of this prologue a newsstand is seen with multiple issues of the "Daily Bugle" newspaper with various headlines including "PROHIBITION CONTINUES SILVERMANE PROFITS". "PROHIBITION" refers to the unique Prohibition era in the United States of America between January 16th, 1919 AD and December 5th, 1933 AD. So it must be quite some time after January of 1919 AD.
More specifically, a third still from the same shot declares: "YANKEES WIN WORLD SERIES! City Celebrates in Dark Times". The New York Yankees won the World Series between 1919 AD and 1933 AD in 1923 AD, 1927 AD, 1928 AD, and 1932 AD.
Specifically, at the end of the prologue Reilly says, "That was 5 years ago." The 1928 World Series happened on October 4th through 9th. So it is most likely mid October of 1928 AD during the prologue.
1,933 - 5 = 1,928.
There are also quick flashbacks in episode one to this same setting.
It is the earliest chronological TV series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe multiverse timeline and can be watched either at its timeline point or as an extended flashback before the animated film "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" (2018).
