The real-world fashion company Christian Dior opened a new four-floor retail location at the corner of Madison Ave and 57th St in August of 2025 AD. Specifically, very early in the movie Andy's laptop computer clearly reads: "Mon May 4 10:15 PM" in the upper right corner of her screen. So presumably it is May of 2025 AD at the beginning.
Later, at around a quarter into the story Andy clicks "Submit" on a news piece she has presumably just written and the article immediately visible after she posts is dated for "JUNE 2" and, when Emily shows Andy her iPhone smartphone lock-screen in the not-yet-open-to-the-public Madison Avenue Dior location to show off her children in a photo, the screen reads "Thursday, June 11" at the top. So it must be June of 2025 AD at this point.
Then, much of the climax happens at the real-world Milan Fashion Week, a twice annual event held in the February or March and then in September or October. So it is either late 2025 AD or early 2026 AD at this point.
