When Does the Film "The City Without Jews" (1924) Take Place?

"Die Stadt ohne Juden" (released to English-speaking audiences as "The City Without Jews") is a political film written by Hans Karl Breslauer with Ida Jenbach [adapting "Die Stadt Ohne Juden" (1922) by Maximilian Hugo Bettauer] that released July 25th, 1924. So when is "The City Without Jews" set?

It takes place in the years:

1923 AD - 1924 AD

We know this because during the session of lawmakers that announces the expulsion of all people of Jewish descent the Chancellor says in his yellow-on-black title card, "It has been decided that the departure of the Jews shall take place before December 25." So it is before December (almost certainly in 1923 AD since the story ends in 1924 AD).

More specifically, a later title card declares it is now "Christmas night". So it is December of 1923 AD at this point and the remainder of the narrative takes place in the new calendar year of 1924 AD.

Later, near the end of the movie when the Chancellor of Utopia gets a telegram from Mr. Jonathan Huxtable in America it is dated at the top right as "2 20 1924" under the preprinted "Accepted" ... "on" and "2 19 1924" next to the preprinted "issued on". So it is most likely February of 1924 AD at the end.
